Cast gilt bronze U-Thong style Thai buddha seated in sattvasana on an unadorned pedestal, the hands in dhyana mudra, wearing a sash decorated with lotuses. Probably 19th century. Gilding almost entirely lost, except for small spots; left earlobe and top of ushnisha are chipped. Provenance: purchased by the consignor from Connie Mangskau's Monogram Antiques in Bangkok in the 1990s.
