Chinese export polychrome painted baluster vase with pierced handles, 19th or 20th century. Decoration features a domestic scene at front and calligraphy on back representing lines from a Tao Yuanming poem, "Drinking Wine". Unread text, perhaps a signature, written horizontally on neck. One handle is broken at bottom.
