Fried, an award winning Baltimore artist passed away at the age of 33 in 1968. At the age of 9 he began taking classes at MICA when he was 9yo. In 1955 he was the first canditate to earn a doctorate of education in fine arts from Illinos State University. A truely a remarkable individual.
