The six-masted S.S. Wyoming was the "longest wooden ship ever built." The schooner was built in 1909 by Percy & Small in Bath, Maine. 450 ft from its jib-boom tip to the spanker boom tip. Used to haul bulk coal up and down the East coast. Foundered off of Cape Cod during a storm in 1924.
